Two-holiday roofline lights · Portland metro

Halloween lights that turn into
Christmas lights.

Color-changing C9 bulbs on a commercial roofline strand, hung once in late September or October. Orange and purple through Halloween. Warm white, or red and green, from November 1 with one click of the remote. The same insured crew takes it all down in January.

Measured in person. Priced by the roofline. 50% deposit holds the date, balance at install.

Design concept: the same Portland craftsman home with porch pumpkins in October and a lit roofline in December
Design concept. Same house, same strand, two holidays.
How it works

One install. Two holidays. Zero ladders for you.

Every step is a text the day before. You never need to be home.

  1. 01

    Measure and design

We measure the roofline in person, walk the peaks and entries with you, and confirm where the strand runs, where the controller lives, and which outlet it uses.

  2. 02

Install, late Sept to mid Oct

Lights go up with roof-safe clips, the timer is set, and Halloween colors are running before we drive away. We check the display at dusk.

  3. 03

Flip on Nov 1. Down in January.

You switch to your Christmas colors with the remote. We take everything down in January on the date we agreed, and clean up after ourselves.

What goes on the house

Commercial strand, color-changing bulbs, one remote.

  • Commercial-grade C9 roofline strand with color-changing LED bulbs, roof-safe clips, no staples or nails
  • Controller with remote: steady colors, slow fades, and a timer so it runs on its own
  • Roofline, peaks and entries laid out and confirmed with you before install day
  • Halloween colors set before we leave, Christmas presets shown to you
  • January takedown scheduled with the install, ground cleanup both times
  • Call or text if a section goes out. We come back.

Already own C9 strands that test good? We can retrofit color-changing bulbs onto your strand and add the controller for less than a full supplied install. Ask in the quote form.

How pricing works$1,000 to $1,500

Typical single-story front roofline, installed. Controller, remote and January takedown included. Two-story homes, peaks, tree wraps and difficult access move the number, which is why every lights job gets an in-person measurement and a written estimate.

Pick the colors

Four Halloween looks. Four Christmas looks. Same strand.

Pick one steady pattern. Change your mind any evening with the remote.

Orange and purple

The Halloween classic. Reads from the end of the street.

Orange and warm white

The tasteful one. Pairs with a Harvest porch and a black door.

Green and purple

The witchy one. Best on dark siding with the Haunt palette below.

All orange

The pumpkin patch. Simple, warm, and it flips to all warm white for Christmas in one click.

Warm white

The Christmas default for most Portland rooflines. Quiet and expensive-looking.

Red and green

Traditional. Alternating bulbs, no chase.

Red and warm white

Candy-cane roofline without the stripes moving.

Blue and white

Cool and modern. Good on gray siding, and it is the one your neighbor will ask about.

The bundle

Lights on the roof.
Pumpkins on the steps.
One crew.

Book porch pumpkins with your lights and the porch is styled the same week the roofline goes up. When Thanksgiving comes we take the pumpkins away free and the house rolls straight into Christmas without a second visit from anyone.

Before you book

Two-holiday lighting questions, answered.

Are these permanent lights?

No. This is a seasonal roofline strand with color-changing bulbs, installed with roof-safe clips and removed in January. Nothing is screwed to your fascia and there is no permanent track. It is the same commercial-grade strand we hang for Christmas, with a controller that changes the color.

Can I change the colors myself?

Yes. The controller comes with a remote. We set Halloween colors before we leave and show you the Christmas presets, so switching on November 1 takes a few seconds from the porch.

What colors and patterns can it do?

Orange, purple, green, red, blue, warm white and mixes of them, in a steady setting or a slow fade or chase. We recommend one steady pattern and a timer. A roofline that strobes reads as a car lot, not a home.

What about rain and wind?

Commercial-grade, outdoor-rated strands and clips are made for a Portland winter. Connections are kept off the ground and away from downspouts. If a section ever goes out, call or text and we come back.

I already own C9 strands. Can you use them?

If they test good, yes. We can retrofit color-changing bulbs onto your strand and add the controller, which is less than a full HomeHaven-supplied install. We measure the strand and confirm the price before the day.

When do you install?

Late September through mid-October for Halloween, so the display is running well before the 31st. We text the day before and you do not need to be home. The timer is set at install.

How is it priced?

By the roofline, like our Christmas installs, plus the color-changing bulb and controller kit. A typical single-story front roofline runs $1,000 to $1,500 installed, with the controller, remote and January takedown included. Two-story homes, peaks, tree wraps and difficult access are quoted in person. A 50% deposit holds your install date.
